Boilerplate
Velko is a native IPTV player for Apple TV, iPhone & iPad. Users bring their own IPTV service — an Xtream Codes login or M3U playlist — and Velko gives it a fast, classic TV-guide experience built in SwiftUI. Velko ships no content and runs no servers: there are no accounts, no tracking, credentials stay in the device Keychain, and favorites sync across the user's Apple devices through their own iCloud. It's one Universal Purchase app, so Velko Pro carries across Apple TV, iPhone, and iPad. A free Community TV source (the open-source iptv-org public channel index) works without any account or time limit. Velko is built by an independent developer and released in 2026.

Story angles
- The TiViMate gap: the category's biggest name has no Apple TV app — Apple TV owners are underserved, and native tvOS players are filling the gap.
- After the Smarters purge: early 2026's removal of 36 IPTV apps left millions looking for a clean, legitimate player; "bring your own provider, we ship nothing" is the model that survives.
- Privacy as a feature in a sketchy category: an IPTV player with no accounts, no tracking, and no servers — the opposite of the category norm.
- Indie on tvOS: a solo developer shipping a full SwiftUI app for the App Store's most neglected platform.
- From the TV to your pocket: Velko is multi-platform — the same private, guide-first player on Apple TV, iPhone & iPad, with one purchase and your favorites following you across devices.
